Specialising in catastrophic injury claims involving brain and spinal injured claimants, Isabel boasts an extensive clinical negligence experience, with expertise developed over 20 years. For the past 7 years, the focus has shifted towards foreign jurisdiction claims for both claimants and defendants, as well as inquest and inquiry work.

In her role, Isabel not only handles cases involving European law, but also extends her expertise to jurisdictions outside the European Union. These include the US, Australia, Africa, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. A surge in cosmetic surgery cases abroad is also serving to generate cross-border clinical claims.

Providing personal representation and advocacy on behalf of families at inquests, Isabel has also supported families abroad through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Victim Support. Her role includes facilitating legal support from an extensive network of foreign lawyers. This enables families to receive legal advice abroad and representation at foreign criminal trials.

As a Recognised Legal Representative to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, Isabel has a significant level of expertise in inquest hearings. This particular inquiry is subject to Article 2 of the ECHR.

The broad clinical negligence experience of Isabel includes acting for protected parties. Recently, she was involved with the Court of Protection and the Official Solicitor in settling a case at £7.6 million.

Isabel takes on the role of Training and Development Manager at Inspire Medilaw, where her expertise continues to shine.

In addition to her legal duties, Isabel also lectures and trains consultants and expert witnesses on clinical negligence cases and inquests.
